- Euclid's Elements
David Joyce's online version of Euclid's Elements. Wonderful site, with interactive sketches
illustrating the theorems. You can rarely go wrong with Euclid for
getting historical ideas to use in the classroom.
- Xah Lee's Page
Xah Lee's Page, containing his "A Visual Dictionary of Special
Plane Curves," including many famous curves of historical importance,
using both Geometer's Sketchpad and Mathematica. The best resource
for this material.
- Recent Talks Using Geometer's Sketchpad
"Recent Talks" page for Geometer's Sketchpad. We especially
recommend the resources by Scott Steketee, which while not
necessarily historical, are very much in the spirit of the Babylonian,
Greek, and Islamic mathematicians in the use of geometry to illustrate
concepts in algebra, analytic geometry, and calculus.
